In the mountains of northern Tuscany, not far from the wonderful city of Lucca, surrounded by the Apuan Alps and the Apennine we found this gem - a 200 year old building that we have transformed into a comfortable temporary home to share with our guests!

Room offer
Our "Casa Ulla" has two bedrooms with beds for two persons each. The couch in the salon on the first floor can also be used for sleeping. Two desks are available for remote workers. The house has two bathrooms and a large kitchen-living room with an electric stove and a dishwasher. In total, the house extends over two floors and covers around 80 square meters.
Pets
It is not possible to bring pets.
Free WiFi
Excellent WiFi is available in the house and in the garden and makes "Casa Ulla" an attractive location for a workation.
Parking
Montefegatesi is virtually car-free. Only small vehicles fit through the narrow streets, parking is possible only on the outskirts of the village - 800 meters away from the house. We are happy to help transport your luggage with our Smart.
Minimum Age
Unfortunately, the house and garden are not childproof. Therefore, a minimum age of eight years applies to guests.
Terrace & Garden
The vacation home has a terrace directly in front of the house with a dining table and chairs for private use with a wonderful view. The multi-level garden is available exclusively for the tenants of the vacation home.
Non smoking
"Casa Ulla" is a non-smoking house.
Food & Drink
In the center of the village there is a small general store and a bar offering pizza on Saturdays as well as lunch on Sundays. The nearest restaurant is in Pieve a Monti, 6.5 km away. Bagni di Lucca, 13 km away, offers a variety of restaurants and stores.
Cleaning
Professional cleaning during your stay can be organized. A washing machine is available.

Plenty of Activities
Hikes
Hikers get their money's worth in and around Montefegatesi. A variety of hiking trails with different levels of difficulty start directly on site. More demanding mountain tours are possible in the ski area around Abetone. The region is considered a real insider tip.
The "Orrido di Botri Nature Reserve" begins a few kilometers from Montefegatesi - the canyon of the same name with impressive gorges and waterfalls is one of the highlights of the region.
Cultural program
The fact that the cities of northern Tuscany are not as well known has an advantage - they are not nearly as crowded as the hotspots Siena or Florence! From Montefegatesi wonderful places like Lucca, Pisa and Pistoia are very easy to reach - also by train.
The nearest town Bagni di Lucca is very well connected to public transport, so that day trips are very convenient to implement.
Mountainbiking
The territory of Garfagnana and the Apuan Alps are suitable in an extremely varied way for the practice of mountain biking and cycling in general.
Versatile tours with different requirements are also offered in groups, the area is also used by professional cyclists for training. In the cottage there is a possibility to park your own bikes. Bikes can be rented from professional providers in the area.
